Dr. Dawn Brown is a Clinical Assistant Professor and Director of Clinical Education at Northern Illinois University Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 1996 and Masters of Physical Therapy degree in 1999, both from Northwestern University, and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Alabama State University in 2015. With over 17 years of clinical and managerial experience in orthopedic and sports physical therapy, Dr. Brown has also served as the IPTA Diversity Task Force Chair, served as an item writer for the National Physical Therapy Exam, and obtained certification as an APTA Credentialed Clinical Instructor. Dr. Brown is proud to be an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association including the Orthopedic Section, the American Academy of Physical Therapy, as well as the Chicago Area Clinical Educators Forum.
