Kim Hammerberg, M.D., is chief of spine surgery at Shriners Hospitals for Children — Chicago and has worked here for more than 30 years. Dr. Hammerberg takes great pride in his and his team’s work in infantile scoliosis. Dr. Hammerberg also specializes in pediatric spinal deformity, serial Mehta-Cotrel casting, VEPTR and growing rods, MAGEC growing rods, as well as juvenile/adolescent idiopathic scoliosis, kyphosis and skeletal dysplasia. Dr. Hammerberg is an assistant professor of orthopaedic surgery at Rush University Medical College in Chicago.
