Kimberly graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Community Health Education from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse and went on to earn a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) with an Orthopedic concentration from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. She has specialized in outpatient orthopedics with a Performing Arts Medicine focus at Athletico’s Michigan Avenue – Loop location since 2013. In 2016, after extensive continuing education coursework, Kimberly received her Dance Medicine Certification from Westside Dance Physical Therapy in New York, NY and has participated as a Research Assistant for independent work under the International Association for Dance Medicine and Science (IADMS). For the past 5 years, Kimberly has treated various collegiate dancers with Columbia College Chicago, Northwestern University and Roosevelt University as well as worked backstage with various Broadway in Chicago musicals. She has been an onsite staff and touring Physical Therapist with The Joffrey Ballet and Joffrey Ballet Academy providing onsite and backstage performance coverage to professional and pre-professional ballet dancers since 2014. Kimberly’s philosophy is to target not only the symptoms of each individual’s condition, but to reach the problems at the source using evidence-based treatments to optimize her patient’s function and maximize their movement potential.
